He tries hard. Since I'm taking him from where he's been drinking demon blood to use his powers for good, he's got a lot of anger issues. I'm trying to find ways for him to learn, as Ruby tells him, that he doesn't "need the feather, Dumbo" so he's intuitively drawn to beings of power (not always with the best judgment). But he still has an extraordinary amount of faith. So to him, she's proof of goodness.
